Students become familiar with main trends in the evolution of the literatures written in Portuguese on the African continent since the beginning up to the present days. Students should become able to define main notions, basic notions for the given literary context and interconnect literary questions with historical issues. Students should be able to classify the concrete authors within such context, characterize generally their works and analyse in detail the selected texts. Students learn to discuss the matter and independently approach the interpretation of texts.
