Learning outcomes
|
A series of selected films aimed at deepening the ability to understand native speakers and expanding knowledge of the history, society, and culture of Portuguese-speaking countries. Each film is accompanied by an introductory presentation and a subsequent discussion based on prior reading of reviews of the selected film and academic texts on cinema of Portuguese-speaking countries.
Students deepen their cultural knowledge in the field of the life and institutions of the Portuguese speaking countries and improve their ability to understand native speakers.

Prerequisites
|
The course is taught in Portuguese. Students are expected to be able to understand extended discourse in Portuguese.
