Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Projection (static, dynamic)
  • Excursion - 12 hours per semester
  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 13 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 25 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Students will passively participate in a scientific conference or a series of specialized lectures by visiting professors organized by the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University (FF UP) or by another institution in the Czech Republic or abroad, provided the events are thematically related to the study of Portuguese Philology (Portuguese linguistics, literature, culture, and the history of Lusophone countries, including interdisciplinary aspects).
The student will deepen their knowledge of the field in the thematic focus of the conference.

Assessment methods and criteria
Dialog, Seminar Work

Passive participation in a scientific conference or lecture series. For 1 PHP credit, we require active participation in 3 lectures (minimum duration of one lecture = 60 minutes) and writing a summary of all lectures (total length of all three summaries = 1 standard page). Furthermore, individual preparation for the given topics is expected.
