Learning outcomes
|
A series of selected films aimed at deepening the ability to understand native speakers and expanding knowledge of the history, society, and culture of Brazil. Each film is accompanied by an introductory presentation and followed by a discussion based on prior reading of film reviews or texts on Brazilian cinema.
Students deepen their cultural knowledge of Brazilian society and institutions and improve their ability to understand native speakers.

Prerequisites
|
The course is taught in Portuguese. Students are expected to be able to understand extended discourse in Portuguese.
