Course content
|
The course concentrates on practising basic grammar and vocabulary but it also deals with the vocabulary from the field of study of every student, necessary for writing the thesis (eg. linguistics, literature, history).The students will be taught basic terminology of his field of study.

Learning outcomes
|
The students should be able to communicate in Portuguese, achieving the level B2 of European Reference Framework of Languages. The course concentrates on practising basic grammar and vocabulary but it also deals with the vocabulary from the field of study of every student, necessary for writing the thesis.
They should be able to communicate in everyday situations and they should be familiar with basic grammar. They should also be able to talk about the topic of their thesis in Portuguese.

Prerequisites
|
The students should pass at least one course of "Portuguese for students from other departments" (KRP/PZAC1 - 8), corresponding to intermediate level.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Written exam, Analysis of linguistic
Active participation in the course, end of term written test, oral exam (including brief introduction of the students and their field of study and talking about the topic of student´s thesis).
