Course content
A firm and business, definition of the term. Definition of small and middle-sized businesses according to the EU. The role of a businessman/woman. Definition of a businessman/woman, a self-earner, an owner, a manager. Legislative amendment in CR - Business law and the Commercial code. Types and forms of business. Trades, MSP. Starting business activity. Foundation and creation of a firm. A course of business activity. Relations with state authorities, banks, revenue authority, health insurance, social security. Entrepreneurial purpose. Taxes, accounting agenda. Liquidation of a firm - liquidation and expiration of a firm. Business support in our country and in EU. Economic chamber, business associations. Counselling. Specific business forms. Legislative amendments of entrepreneurship in CR.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to inform students about basic concepts and terms of trade and commercial enterprise, especially forms of small firms and retailing i.e. all activities, acts, processes linked with day-to-day business activity. Practical skills management of business practice facing off the business general public are emphasized. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The ability to apply theoretical information in practice. Will be capable of founding and managing a private firm. Will know how to deal with government offices and other public agencies, such as the Social Security Office, health insurance companies and the Finance (Tax) Office. Any student who has completed this course will be able to what is necessary to acquire a business licence. The student will understand the principles of keeping books, keeping tax and personnel records and how to fill out tax forms.
Prerequisites
Must have completed the subject "Economic and Business Legislation".

Requirements Class attendance - 50% presentation of asigned task.
