Course content
Grammar: 1. Verbs - imperative of regular and selected irregular verbs. 2. Modal verbs. 3. Possessive adjectives, prepositional connection, pronouns quello and questo. 4. Passato prossimo - formation of past participles of regular and irregular verbs, auxiliary verbs. 5. Imperfetto - regular verbs. 6. Adjectives - graduation. Conversation topics and developing communicative skills in Italian: 1. Dealing with medical records 2. Basics of prescription phrases and names of drugs. 3. Additional anatomical terminology. 4. The names of diseases and diagnoses. 5. Palliative care.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to improve the knowledge of the Italian medical terminology, attention is paid to the practical application of the knowledge in given situations in a medical environment, the emphasis is on developing the ability of speech and reading, analysis and translation of scientific text.
Students will improve their knowledge of Italian grammar, will improve orientation in terminology which will be able to demonstrate at the completion of the course, during the oral exam, which will consist in the analysis and translation of technical text of their choice in consultation with the teacher or the course supervisor.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam, Written exam

Active participation in seminars, preparation for lessons, good orientation in medical terminology, review of grammar and vocabulary in the final credit test, the exam tests the knowledge of the subject based on the analysis and translation of the text of their choice after consultation with the guarantee of the course or the lecturer.
