Course content
|
Critical analysis of works by selected writers from various stages of the history of Italian literature, with a special emphasis on an active approach of students and improving their interpretation skills. Every year different texts are selected. Topics of lessons: identification of literary genres. Relations among the narrator - protagonist - author. Other characters. Narrative structure, plot, story. Style, lexis, style levels, dialogical principles, descriptions, expression etc. Chronological construction of the text. Space construction. Building of the fictional world. Intertextuality - models, paraphrases, quotations. Tout ensemble interpretation of the text, possible meanings.

Learning outcomes

The students will get better acquainted with the interpretation of literary text with particular accent on the comprehension of the inner structure of a literary text.

Active attendance at the seminar, reading of the texts assigned by the teacher.
