Course content
The lecture introduces to the contemporary Italian syntax and the relevant terminology. 1. Phrase(coordination, subordination, juxtaposition, connectors, examples) 2. Subjective sentences(function, explicit, implicit, examples) 3. Objective sentences(function, explicit, implicit, examples) 4. Interrogative sentences (direct, indirect, explicit, implicit, examples) 5. Relative sentences (types, explicit, implicit, examples) 6. Temporal sentences (definition, types, explicit, implicit, examples) 7. Comparative and modal sentences (definition, types, explicit, implicit, examples) 8. Caual and final sentences (definition, explicit, implicit, examples) 9. Consecutive and concessive sentences (definition, explicit, implicit, examples) 10. Conditional sentences (definition, types, explicit, implicit, examples) 11. Direct and indirect speech (definition, examples, tense concordance)

To acquaint students with the structure of simple sentences in contemporary Italian.
