The origins of humanism, Salutati and Bruni 9. Cantare genre 10. Comic and satiric poetry 11. Boiardo and Amores 12. The origins of epistolography

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen students' knowledge of medieval Italian literature, to acquaint them with the trends in this period, with major names of literary life. Students will get acquainted with the canon and even with lesser known works of medieval Italian literature, will learn the most interesting genres, themes, authorial poetics. Chronological definition is approximately from the second half of the 13th century to the second half of the 15th century.
Students will deepen their knowledge of medieval Italian literature, will get acquainted with the trends in this period, with major names of literary life. Students will learn the canon and even lesser known works of medieval Italian literature, the most interesting genres, themes, authorial poetics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Oral exam

Participation in lectures and seminars, reading specified literary and scientific texts, preparing for the exam, presentation of paper, passing the exam.
