Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to explain the main evolution lines in the Italian literature since the beginning of the 15-th century to the end of the 16-th century. The teaching and the text reading is concentrated to Renaissance literary genres and their connections with the classical civilisation. A strong stress will be put to the fundamental texts of this period like Ariosto's Orlando furioso and Machiavelli's Prince. The course will observe the relationship between the literature and a general cultural situation in the Renaissance period.
