Course content
|
The program focuses on the definition of terms, the development of methodological guidelines, teaching objectives, didactic and methodological principles of teaching foreign languages??, the role of the teacher and student´s autonomy. Particular attention is paid to language devices and to the training of basic language skills. It also focuses on the following subjects: communicative competence, organizational forms and types of teaching lessons, Italian language textbooks, work with audio-visual devices, learning stimulations, importance of up-to-date content of lessons, typology of the exercises. Furthermore, attention is also focused on the issue of error checking, testing, evaluation and classification.

Learning outcomes
|
The course is designed for students who attended lectures of general didactics, pedagogy and psychology and have an interest in the future to teach Italian at various types of schools. It provides basic information on language teaching methodology, and focuses on current trends in language teaching, considering the specificity of the Italian language.
Orientation in the available study materials, the use of specific language games in teaching Italian grammar.

Attended lectures on general didactics and psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam, Essay, Student performance
Active participation in seminars, elaborating of paper on a specified topic and its presentation.
