Basic literary terminology from the fields of narratology, poetry and dramatic science. Specificity of art literature. Literary works as a reflection and a sign. The author as a part of literary structure. Elements and structure of artistic literary works. Elements of thematic structure, author's approach, plot, motive. Elements of language structure, style and vocabulary. Tropes. Syntax of the artistic language. Style figures. Fiction and verse. Specific communicative ability of the verse, basic metrical notions. Semantic value of the genre; morphological and content aspects, genetic and synchronous point of view. Individual literary genres and their specific features, lyric, epic, drama, publicism and literature of fact. Survey and specificities of literary movements and trends. Periodisation of the history of French literature. Contemporary literary criticism. Czech and French publications from the field of literary science. Prominent figures in the field of Romance philology. Principles of writing a thesis in the field of literary sciences, work with specialised literature. Interdisciplinary ties, literature and philosophy, literature and psychology, literature and history. Comparative literature.
