Course content |
The course of technical French focuses on the economic background of a company. The objective of the course is to demonstrate that a company belongs to a large complex of economic relations that must be interpreted correctly so that the company can duly plan its activities. It is necessary to understand the behaviour of the participants of economic processes: companies, public administration, financial institutions and households. The course will contain a range of case studies from the era of transition to market economy. The basic terminology from micro and macro economics will be used: growth, cycles, currency, inflation, demand, producer and consumer behaviour, competition, monopoly, etc. Basic national and multinational aspects of economic development will be explained. Simple mathematical models will be used. The objective is not to make the students professionals in macroeconomics, but to make them understand the functioning of a company and its cooperation with other participants of economic processes. The introduction to financial engineering and marketing will be presented at the end. Consumer behaviour will be compared as described in marketing and microeconomic theory.
