Course content
Themes discussed: 1. Types of academic texts, types of research, types of excerpt texts 2. Stages of working I: choosing a theme, searching sources (factual research, the analytic and synthetic phases of preparation), evaluating sources, studying and compiling sources 3. Stages of working II: creating an outline, concept, changing the concept and final editing, introduction and conclusion 4. Citations, quotations, paraphrases and copyright law 5. Academic functional style

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Methods of Written Work

Learning outcomes
The aim of this class is to explain basic methodology of scientific research in the humanities to the student. The student is introduced to the basic rules related to the form and content of an academic work.
The student gains a basic idea about methodology and rules of research, and is able to formulate the theme of their diploma thesis.

Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary), Dialog

As a condition for fulfilling the subject, the detailed structure of the thesis must be drafted and a complete part of the thesis must be submitted within the scope of 10 standard pages.
