Course content
This course makes the students familiar with the ways of reception of the individual Romance literatures in the Czech context. The reception is observed both from the historical point of view (in relation to other cultural and material contacts with the Czech lands), and from the more strict literary point of view (adoption of metrical schemes and literary forms, inspiration by the themes or poetics of the foreign works). The attention is also paid to the ways of reflection of the Romance literatures in the Czech scholarly publications and literary reference books (the importance of of the individual authors, periodization). The focus is put on the reception of the most important authors.

Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

The student must actively take part in the lessons and to present a report about a partial issue of reception of the Romance literatures in the Czech context.
