Course content |
1. The situation and characteristics of the modern and postmodern prose. 2. Time and space as narrative categories. 3. The functionning of the literary space-time in the narrative structure. 4. The explanations will be completed by the analyses of selected texts: Perec (Oulipo), Vian, Duras (poetized novel), Robbe-Grillet, Butor, Ollier (abstract novel), Renaud Camus, Échenoz, Bon (postmodern writing).

Learning outcomes |
The objective of this course is to make the students familiar with the most recent critical approaches to the overlap and their application on particular texts.
To improve the ability of discussion on an academic topic and the ability to apply the learnt theoretical knowledge on a particular literary corpus. |
