Course content
1. Metodological notes about the literary form of the dialogue 2. Genres of humanistic literature in the Italian in the 15th century 3. Political dialogues (Rinuccini, Palmieri, Guicciardini) 4. Dialogues as a rhetorical technique in letter writing 5. The dialogues of Giovanni Pontano 6. Dialogues in Latin poetry 7. The defining of research problems 8. Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to study dialogical forms of humanistic literature, their topics and structure in various literary genres of the 15th-16th century, especially in political dialogues, letter writings and in Latin poetry. The participants of the course, under the supervision of the professor, will work everyone on his/her specific topic.

Prerequisites
The course is focused on students with a very good knowledge of medieval literature and who are able to read Italian or Latin literary text of 15th century.

Student performance

Attendance at the seminar; individual research; writing of a research report and its presentation.
