A study stay at a foreign institution deepens and broadens students' theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the given field and in related scientific disciplines. The student has the conditions for concentrated work on a dissertation research project and has the opportunity to consult available professional literature. He/she also gains experience and professional contacts that can be used in further studies and after graduation. Completion of the course presupposes an active approach of the student: the student will find out about the offer of internships and placements for Ph.D. students, orientate himself/herself in them, consult with the supervisor about the appropriate choice, be able to organise the trip independently, including the administrative issues related to it, and propose to the supervisor and the course supervisor the specific content of the stay in the context of the field of study. The stay is carried out according to a plan approved by the supervisor and confirmed by the responsible staff member of the foreign department the student will visit. Upon return, the student will submit a report on the completion of the planned tasks. The duration of the stay is a minimum of eight days and a maximum of thirty days. The course will be recognised after the duration and course of the stay abroad has been documented and the results of the work have been assessed and approved.
