Course content

Methodology of geologist´s work in field - observation and documentation of the outcrops, collection and documentation of samples, geological map, geological compass. Important geological, mineralogical and paleontological localities in the Czech Republic and in the Olomouc region.

Learning outcomes
|
Methodology of geologist´s work in field - observation and documentation of the outcrops, collection and documentation of samples, geological map. Important geological, mineralogical and paleontological localities in the Czech Republic and in the Olomouc region.
Practical ability of basic geological field work, understanding of geological map.

Prerequisites
|
The finishing of the basic geological course within the Bc. study is recommended.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Dialog
Student ought to demonstrate his ability to observe and document basic geological phenomena in the field, to orient himself in the geological map and to use the geological compass.
