After completing the course, students will be able to: ? define basic concepts - ecology, environmental education, sustainable development, globalization, ? defining global issues of the country - human and environmental history, ? interpret the causes of the current outbreaks of tension in the world, ? outline the basic facts about population development of the countries of the contemporary world, human settlements, migration, food shortages, diseases, the gap between rich and poor, ? enumerate the principles of conservation of biodiversity, the problem of tropical rain forests, desertification, ? determine the causes of pollution of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, pedosphere, climate change and its consequences. Topics: Environmental education in curricula; Environmental education in schools (compared primary, secondary); Methods and forms of work in the classroom; After-school education of children and youth; Environmental education center; NGOs. International conference and convention programs, humanitarian aid and development cooperation as a contribution to solving global problems.
