Physical Geography: Global tectonics and the movement of lithosphere plates. Exogenous geomorphological processes, structural geomorphology. Water circulation, the global ocean, the basics of hydrology. Energy balance of the Earth, atmosphere, climate classification. Earth's soil cover, soil classification, soil types. The biosphere, the structure and functioning of ecosystems, biomes. Natural and cultural landscape. Socio-Economic Geography: Spatial mobility of population, causes and consequences of migration. The demographic transition. Urbanization, settlement systems, hierarchy of settlements.
