Course content
Course deals with following issues: meteorology and climatology as science and their importance in the study of geography; satellite meteorology and climatology; world meteorological organization; total climatic system; distance methods of meteorological measurement and observation; climatic categories; atmosphere (ozone in atmosphere, greenhouse effect); solar radiation in atmosphere and at active surface; temperature regime of atmosphere; function of water in atmosphere, air pressure, air flow as physical phenomenon, system of atmospheric circulation, air masses, fundamentals of synoptic meteorology and weather forecast, climate of the Earth and its development, topoclimate, climate of towns, climatic classifications, typology of synoptic situation, climatic oscillations and climatic changes, atmosphere as a component of environment - air conservation, climate and man, phenology; climatic information system, basic meteorological tools, processing of basic climatological characteristics.

Learning outcomes
Meteorology and Climatology as a discipline, Satellite Meteorology and Climatology, World Meteorological Organization, a complete climate system; distance methods meteorological measurements and observations; category change; Earth's atmosphere (ozone in the atmosphere, the greenhouse effect), solar radiation in the Earth's atmosphere and surface active ; temperature regime of the atmosphere and the role of water in the atmosphere, air pressure, air flow as a physical phenomenon, systems, circulation of the atmosphere, air masses, fundamentals synoptic meteorology and weather forecasting, climate of the Earth and its evolution; topoklima, climate, urban climate classification, standardizing meteorological situations ; fluctuations in climate and climate change; atmosphere as a component of the environment - air, climate and man, phenology, climate information system, basic meteorological instruments; processing of basic climatological characteristics.
Recall basic terms and concepts used in meteorology and climatology.
Prerequisites
Knowledge within the scope of compulsory subjects that precede this subject in the study plan.
