Course content
|
Culture and identity. Intercultural and multicultural. The influence of the media on the formation of views on multiculturalism in the Czech Republic. Multicultural education in Framework Educational Programme for elementary school. Organization, methods and mediums of multicultural education. Pupils of minorities in the school.

Learning outcomes
|
It provides basic knowledge about various socio-cultural groups living in Czech and European society, develops the ability to orientate themselves in a socio-culturally diverse world and use intercultural contacts to enrich themselves and others, cultivate attitudes of tolerance, respect and openness to different groups.
Students will be provide with competences that will get to the content and objectives of the courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Students will prepare a teaching unit or block of a selected subject with elements of MKV. Seminar work on the topic "The role of the media in shaping the view of multiculturalism in society".
