Course content
Lecture Topics: The concept of criminalistics, the subject, system and methods. The way how a crime is committed. Criminalistic trace. Criminalistic identification. Criminalistic dactyloscopy. Portrait identification. Criminalistic biology. Mechanoscopy. Trasology. Ballistics. Examination, investigation. Criminalistic documentation, criminalistic versions, criminalistic expert report. Seminar Topics: The concept of criminalistics, the subject, system and methods. The way how a crime is committed. Criminalistic trace. Criminalistic identification. Criminalistic dactyloscopy. Learning outcomes
The optional subject Criminalistics continues the finished subjects Criminal law I. - III. The main aim is to introduce the students to the required materials of criminalistics fundamentals. This course should provide the students with information about basic theoretical criminalistic topics and about basic technical and tactical methods used in criminalistic and judicial practice. Emphasis will also be put on basic categories and structure of criminalistic methodology with the aim of its application in the circumstances of criminal investigation.
Students who have completed this subject will be able to orientate themselves in technical and tactic methods of criminal investigation.
Prerequisites
Completion of this subject is not conditional upon completion of another subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark

In order to get the credit the students must have a regular attendance in the scope set by the seminar leader. The subject is completed by an oral exam.
