Course content
Europeanization of criminal law. European criminal law in the context of the Council of Europe and EU before and after Lisbon Treaty. Police and judicial cooperation in the EU: EUROJUST, EUROPOL, OLAF, EPPO. European arrest warrant. European confiscation order, evidence warrant and investigation order. Criminal law of European union - substantive.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on changes in criminal law European countries caused by the process of European integration, both within the European Union and by the Council of Europe. Particular attention is paid to the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and cooperation within the criminal justice system in the EU, such as the question of extradition for criminal prosecution, prison, tools for uncovering organized crime, the fight against terrorism, etc.
Students will gain knowledge of basic concepts of European criminal law, the institutions operating in the field of European cooperation in criminal matters and the impact of EU law on the Czech criminal law. Special attention will be given to the Convention on the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms as a basic human rights document in relation to criminal proceedings in both the European and the national context.
Prerequisites
Students build on their knowledge of the subjects of criminal law 1-3 and extend their knowledge of the context in relation to the most serious cross-border crime.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark

The course expect to fulfill the subjects Criminal Law 1-3 and pass a comprehensive examination of the criminal law. The course is concluded with an oral examination in the scope of presented topics. Student are also required continuous training and work in seminars.
