Course content
Evidence in general - definition in relation to other proceedings, practical implications of the basic principles of criminal procedure concerning evidence, subject matter and scope of evidence - legality, applicability of evidence, classification of evidence - examination of the accused, examination of witnesses - expert opinion, expert report, documentary and physical evidence - certain special methods of proof §104a - 104e of the Code of Criminal Procedure - evaluation of evidence

Learning outcomes
During the course, students will be acquainted in detail with the practical aspects of proving in the various stages of criminal proceedings. Furthermore, the individual means of evidence will be thoroughly discussed with attention to the difficulties that occur in practice in connection with the individual means of evidence. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to apply in practice - simulation of interrogation of the accused, witness, etc. Special attention will also be paid to the evaluation of evidence, focusing on the ability to apply the principle of free evaluation of evidence in practice and the ability to formulate their considerations when applying this principle.
Students completing this course will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the correct application of legal regulations related to evidence in criminal proceedings in practice.
