After passing this subject, students should be able to define the issues of psychopathology and have a good understanding of what are the most frequently occurring psychopathological symptoms today, symptoms which they might encounter among children or even their parents during their own educational work. Topics : - The subject of psychopathology, its relationship to other disciplines, the definition of normality - Mental deprivation, the mental needs of children, external and internal conditions of deprivation, symptoms, types of deprivation - Possibilities for remedying deprivation - surrogate family care - The hyperactivity syndrome ADHD (previously known as LMD), the characteristics, causes, symptoms, possible remedies, approaches toward children with ADHD - Neurotic symptoms dependent on age - Seizure disorders - epilepsy, temperamental particularities - Behavioural disorders - Symptoms of substance addiction- drug addiction in youths
