In the course, students learn about the basic psychological concepts included in the terminological system of social and educational psychology. In the framework of educational psychology, topics related to learning, thinking and motivation are presented. An integral part of the teaching profession is learner assessment, whether by means of standardized procedures or teacher-made assessment strategies. The course also focuses on the issue of communication in the school environment and the currently important issue of student diversity. The teaching profession develops and changes and therefore this issue in included in the course. In the framework of Social psychology, topics related to socialization of an individual are presented. The course also focuses on interpersonal perception, attitudes, and social groups. Topics: Changes in the teaching profession. The learning process. Student diversity. Student motivation. The nature of classroom communication. Facilitating complex thinking. Classroom management and learning environment. Teacher-made assessment strategies and standardized and other formal assessments. Ability to explain the process of socialization of an individual. Understanding of the processes that take place within interpersonal interaction. Understanding of the processes that take place within groups and various social situations. Description of the principles of structure development and the dynamics of small social groups.
