Aims: After completing the course students will be able to: " define the content of the course, " apply the terminological system in teaching relevant psychological disciplines, " characterize various concepts of human normality and abnormality, " understand and explain specific psychological states and processes in the most frequent disorders in childhood, " characterize selected mental disorders, symptoms, and etiology. Topics: Definition of the course, definition of normality and abnormality, Determination and prognosis of psychopathological phenomena in childhood. Child abuse and neglect syndrome (CAN). Mental deprivation and attachment. Overview of categories of selected mental disorders. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, characteristics, etiology, principles of approaching children with ADHD. Age-dependent neurotic symptoms, eating disorders. Behavioural disorders in childhood. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, characteristics, etiology, principles of approaching children with ADHD. Mood disorders, symptoms, and etiology.
