Course content
Mental health - disease, topic of normality, deprivation, children's neurotization, school disorders, stress and its influence on the psyche. Classification of basic pathological phenomena, their occurrence and impact on the school atmosphere.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Methods of Written Work
  • Homework for Teaching - 20 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 48 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Division of mental developement disorders, their causes. Various concepts of norms, normality and pathologies. Diagnostics and prognosis of pathological phenomena in child's development. Deprivation syndrome and its remedy. ADD, ADHD, neurotic development in childhood, mental retardation, behavioural disorders.
Students will be eligible explanations of terms and definitions from the field of psychology
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of psychology

Assessment methods and criteria
Dialog

Literature study, active participation in seminars, working up tasks according to teacher's requirements.
