Learning outcomes
During the course of this subject, students will be introduced to fundamental psychological terms within the field of Introductory and developmental psychology. They will be acquainted with individual psychological perspectives, psychological processes (cognitive, emotional, voluntary) and the basics of psychological research methodology. Furthermore, students will look into the major developmental concepts and individual developmental stages. The most current research findings from the field of psychology will be accentuated. The emphasis will be aimed at practical implications of the research fidnings within the fields of helping professions. Topics: " Introduction to current psychological fundamental terms. " Basic psychological perspectives. " Cognitive processes (thinking, attention, perception, imagination, memory) " Learning " Emotions " Motivation " Psychological methods " Definition of developmental psychology, fundamental terms (maturation, learning, development, developmental changes, etc.) " Key psychological concepts (Piaget, Erikson, Kohlberg) Developmental stages (early childhood, preschool age, school-age, puberty and adolescence, adulthood, old age)
