Learning outcomes
|
The purpose of the course Legal Psychology I is to provide students of law with the selected topics from the history of psychology, general psychology, psychology of personality and social psychology. Clinical topics will concentrate on psychopathology and psychotherapy. Psychology of partnership relationships and sexology will also not be left aside. The purpose of the course Legal Psychology II is to provide students of law in detail with the broad areas of forensic psychology. We will deal mainly with psychology of the perpetrator and the victim. Separate part of the course will cover psychological aspects of selected offences. Also psychology of interrogation and testimony will not be left aside. Practical knowledge of psychological profiling and psychological analysis of court proceedings will be covered as well.
Students who have completed this course will gain knowledge not only from theoretic psychological disciplines, but also from the broad area of clinical psychology and of forensic psychological disciplines. They also learn to develop their own psychic awareness and reflection of perceptions, thoughts, emotions and experiences so that they are able to have a deeper understanding of both themselves and other people.

The exam requires an active, creative and independent presentation of the chosen topic in a group of 3 to 4 people in front of an audience of other listeners.
