Money, its development and function, banking system in the Czech republic and in the world 7. Česká národní banka, European central bank - their function and tools for creating the monetary policy 8. Monetary policy, money supply and money demand 9. Fiscal policy 10. Unemployment 11. Inflation 12. International trade and balance of trade

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the subject is to provide to the students orientation in basic macro economical questions both in general as well as primarily in connection with current development in the world and within the EU, whose members we are and the economical development within is rather connected to our lives. The aim of the subject is to demonstrate the interconnection of the world economies in the global economy and demonstrate that, while using basic macroeconomic knowledge, on current issues in the world and in our country. The requirement for succeeding in the subject is high rate or student's participation in the seminars and interest in the discussed issues.
Gained knowledge and skills Passing the course will help the student to both strengthen his current knowledge in the area of economic English with the emphasis on his own expression abilities , the ability of discussion over the economic problems and mainly gain a positive approach to presentation of his own ideas and attitudes in English. He will also learn a framework of the development of economic thoughts and get acquainted with selected economic terms that will enable him to understand better the current economic development and complexity of economics as science and its connection with everyday life.

Prerequisites

the students will be able to discuss bacis economic issues and topics in english language - the students will be able to present economic themes to their peers and support their own ideas - the students will increase their technical english vocabulary with the focus on the ability to use the words correctly in context
