Course content
1. Introduction into banking. Basic terms. 2. Legal jurisprudence of the banking in the Czech republic and selected countries. 3. Czech national bank. 4. European central bank. 5. Activities of commercial banks ( types and risks of banking transactions). 6. Main aspects of banking management. 7. Active and passive banking transactions. 8. Direct debit. 9. The essence of credit. 10. Credit procedure, client creditworthiness analysis. 11. Characteristics of basic types of credits. 12. Bank prudential policy, capital adequacy. 13. Summary

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to get the students acquainted with the legal and economic aspects of the functioning of banking in the EU.
Student - gains the knowledge from the sphere of banking and functioning of banking sector in the EU - is able to understand the interdisciplinary approach and connection between economic and legal aspect of functioning of the EU - is able to apply the gained knowledge in real life and analyse the possible ways of further development
