Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the historical development of European integration, with an emphasis on the development from the ECSC Treaty to the Lisbon Treaty. Besides the description of historical milestones of the European integration, attention will be devoted to the analysis of key documents of primary law, which defined the legal framework of the European integration. Students will be further acquainted with the role of important people and the influence of their thoughts on the development of the European integration (e. g. Monnet, Spinelli, Churchill, de Gaulle, Delors), as well as the enlargement process and the influence of external actors in the process of the European integration.
