|
The aim of the subject is to provide the students with orientation in basic macro economical questions from the general point of view as well as in connection with the current economic development around the world as well as within the European union, that the Czech republic is also an economical part of hence the economic development within the EU significantly influences the domestic economy. The purpose of the subject is to point out the interconnectivity of the world economy in the global economy and demonstrate using basic macro economical knowledge on the current economic development in the world as well as at home including the home countries of the participating students. The requirements to pass the subject successfully are high level of students 'participation in the lessons, interest in the area of study and compilation and presentation of students 'own work on a given topic.
Passing the course will help the student both strengthen his/her current knowledge in the area of English for specific purpose with the emphasis on his own expression abilities, the ability of discussion about economic problems and mainly gain a positive approach to presentation of his/her own ideas and attitudes in English language. The student will also learn basic economic terms which he or she will then be able to apply in order to evaluate the current economic situation including the interconnectedness of economic relations. The student will be able to understand better the current economic development and complexity of economics as science and its connection with everyday life.
