Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to present to the students the prenatal and postnatal development of a human, with an emphasis on the particularities of children's and juvenile morphology and physiology. The course builds on the functions of various anatomical structures with respect to their physiological and pathological development and regarding any correlations with physical activity. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
The student is knowledgeable about the terminology of human ontogenesis, is able to characterize the stages of growth and development during prenatal and postnatal life of a human including motor development during the prenatal and postnatal periods.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of anatomy covered by the Functional anatomy course.
