Course content
Characteristics of educational policy and its instruments. Current status and trends of selected school systems. Principles and objectives of education. Methods of school system management. Quality of education systems. School models as a basis for achieving educational efficiency. Main trends in educational policy of selected EU countries. Key documents of Czech educational policy after 1989. Functions of schools and school facilities. The system of state administration and self-government in the field of education. Education system, lifelong learning education. Recognition of qualification.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Homework for Teaching - 13 hours per semester
  • Attendace - 39 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
To be familiar with the basic principles of state educational policy. Analyse the different features of selected school systems, including mechanisms to ensure their quality and effectiveness. Analyse factors influencing the success of school systems. To characterize current trends in school systems in selected countries. Assess the importance of the educational procedure at different levels of education. To identify main key quality indicators of education.
Ability to apply current legislation in the education system.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic aspects of the educational process.
