Aims of the subject / students will be able to: Define different concepts of nationality and citizenship, Describe what personal/group identity is, and how it shapes our lives, Analyze the impact of family, friends, community, culture, religion and other factors on their identity, Define the role of different institutions (community, state, nno) in shaping individuals and groups, Understand the influence of traditional values and religion on an individual and society, Specify the influence of social, environmental and economic changes on society (migration, globalisation and its consequences), Discuss the sustainability in the society (diversity x unity, progress x tradition).

Presumed competencies: Upon completion of the subject the students will be able to: Accept the concepts of relevant terms (nationality, citizenship, society, identity), Recognize and evaluate their own identity and recognize and evaluate identity of other people, Analyse the changes in the society and their influence on everyday life of people, Appreciate the importance of individual and group values for cohesion of the society Accept their role as a citizen in the terms of concrete country Understand the need of global education for the future.
