Course content
1. Theoretical foundations of experiential pedagogy. Basic concepts of experiential pedagogy (experience, experience, experience). 2. The use of experiential pedagogy with particular reference to the link to leisure and social pedagogy. Current trends in the application of experiential pedagogy (all-round personal development, experiential courses, education and the development of key competences, commercial and non-commercial use, adventure therapy). 3. Basic theoretical approaches and models used in the field of experiential education and training (comfort zone models, optimal experience theory, learning cycles, learning styles, models for the use of feedback, motivation in experiential pedagogy). 4. The function of feedback - a necessary component of the transfer of learning in experiential education. 5. Group dynamics - group work and group development. 6. The roots of outdoor education and experiential education in the Czech Republic and abroad (Woodcraft Indians, Tramping, Children of the Nourished, Forest Wisdom League, Junák Czech Scout, Brontosaurus movement, Czech Camp Union, Lipnice Holiday School). Important personalities (Seton, Baden Powel, Thoureau, Foglar, Svojsík). 7. Outward Bound - historical context, importance for modern approaches in the field of experiential and experiential learning. 8. Play as the main means of experiential pedagogy, basic theory of play, division of play, introducing play, creating play. 9. Preparation, planning and implementation of experiential pedagogy courses. 10. Safety and risk management.

Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: 1. Know and understand the concept of experiential pedagogy. 2. understand and be able to apply the basic theoretical approaches and models used in the field of experiential pedagogy (comfort zone models, optimal experience theory, learning cycles, learning styles, feedback models, motivation in experiential pedagogy) 3. Understand and be able to use feedback in experiential pedagogy. 4. understand the basic concepts of game theory, the division of games and be able to design a basic concept of a new game. 5. Know the history and context of the development of experiential pedagogy and its major figures. 6. To be able to assess the risks in experiential activities and to set up appropriate procedures for their prevention.

Prerequisites
The course assumes basic knowledge of leisure pedagogy, leisure theory and general concepts of educational theory.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance, Analysis of Creative works (Music, Pictorial,Literary)

Development and defence of a project for the implementation of an experiential pedagogy course on the chosen topic. The project must include a new or innovative game using experiential pedagogy theory.
