Course content
|
Defining play/games as an activity of children and the youth. Its place in the hierarchy of child's needs. Play from the point of pedagogy and other scientific disciplines. Game as a means of knowing oneself as well as the surrounding world. Games and interest activities as means of emotional, cognitive and volitional development of an individual. Game as a means of moral education.Classification of games. Games and the age of a child. Functions of games/play. Rules for planning, playing and supervising games.

|
Students should be able to know how to use games in the educational process, apply pedagogical, psychological and sociological knowledges on the educational process, define and characterize games´ functions and purposes.
Students will acquire competence to lead the game in the educational process.

Basic knowledge of didactics and leisure education.
