Course content
|
Introduces students to new forms of social care in our country, in concurrence to adopting the Act no. 108/2006 of the Coll. on social services, as amended by subsequent regulations. Emphasis is laid on individual approach to a user, his/her activation, integration, forms of care: field, out-patient and residential. Comparison between social care in our country and selected countries of the European Union.

Learning outcomes
|
The course introduces the issues of providing institutional social care.
Students are familiar with the Social Services Act , controls the quality standards of social services , strategy development planning individual users, continuity of health, social and educational care. Has an overview of state and non-state residential care facilities in the community planning of social services

Prerequisites
|
Basic knowledge of social policy , social work and social care.

|
Student performance
Elaborating a seminar thesis on the subject of Social care in the past and today, an essay on the topic of Individual plan for a user of social services in a institutional facility.
