Course content
|
Topics: Social issues in selected countries (poverty, unemployment, discrimination, racism, HIV, religious violence, migration, addictive behavior, etc.) Researches of social problems, overview of adequate professional resources. The approach of the given companies to solve the selected problem. Comparison with the situation in advanced Europe (Czech Republic). Quantitative, qualitative research in the social sciences.

Learning outcomes
|
Course objectives: 1. Student will understand social problems in wider social and world contexts. 2. The student will oriente in selected foreign research and social topics. 3. The student will be able to compare the situation with selected problem in the world and in our country, based on partial research (analysis of expert texts and research, field research, etc.).

Prerequisites
|
The contact instruction is focused on the key issues of discipline and the learners' navigation to self-reflection. The theoretical pendent of the curriculum is acquired by the students through self-study and processing of given partial tasks, exercises and problem questions.

Assessment methods and criteria

Final exam in the form of a colloquium. Presentation of the knowledge about the selected problem, comparison with the situation in our conditions.
