Course content |
1. Creation of research objectives, formulation of research questions. 2. Choosing a research strategy in accordance with the goals, choosing an adequate research tool. 3. Methods of analysis in qualitative and quantitative research. 4. Research design, its graphic representation incl. time layout of the research. 5. The research set and its selection criteria (choice of the main and sample set in quantitative research, criteria for selecting informants for qualitative research). 6. The essence and purpose of preliminary research. Procedures for obtaining and evaluating data. 7. Discussion of results incl. answering research questions. 8. Drawing conclusions from research, or possible recommendations for the use of knowledge in practice. 9. Ethical principles of scientific work and research implementation in pedagogical sciences. 10. Formal editing and completion of the bachelor's thesis in accordance with the standard for editing documents in word processors and with valid internal regulations of Palacký University Olomouc and the UP Faculty of Education.

Learning outcomes |
After completing the internship, students should be able to: <LI> apply the acquired methods of empirical research to the collection, classification, analysis and interpretation of empirical data; <LI> present the results of empirical research in the environment of schools and school facilities, or other institutions as part of the bachelor's thesis; <LI> practically verify the validity of the proposed procedures in the bachelor's thesis; <LI> reflect the ethical principles of scientific work in the application to the creation of a qualification thesis; <LI> to finalize the bachelor's thesis in a form that is in accordance with the requirements set by the standards of the Palacký University in Olomouc.

Prerequisites |
A prerequisite for enrolling in the course is the submission of a bachelor's thesis and its supervisor in the STAG system. During practice within schools and school facilities or other institutions, the student collects empirical material, verifies practical outputs, works with relevant sources and processes the practical part of his bachelor's thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria |
Seminar Work, Final Report
In order to complete the subject and be awarded credit, the following is a condition: <LI> Min. 2-4 consultations with the supervisor. <LI> Search of professional sources on the topic of the work. <LI> Work-in-progress part of the bachelor's thesis in the scope of at least 15 pages and in formal requirements according to the standard on Qualification theses at PdF UP in Olomouc. <LI> The bachelor thesis in progress contains: - Formulation of the objectives of the bachelor's thesis. - Elaborated theoretical basis of the work - key information on the topic based on the literature study. - Plan for the methodological and conceptual processing of the work (taking into account the chosen type of bachelor's thesis - methodical, research-oriented). |
