Course content
|
Introduction to intercultural education. Multicultural society, culture. Definition of terms intercultural and multicultural, multicultural education. Minorities and migrants in the Czech Republic. Problems of integration and education in Czech kindergartens and in abroad. Working with a child with a different mother tongue.

Learning outcomes
|
Students should be able to: - define and explain the concept of interculturalism, multiculturalism - have basic knowledge of minorities living in the Czech Republic - orientate in a socio-culturally diverse world - explain and understand the issues of integration and education of minorities in Czech kindergartens - to understand the problems of integration and education of minorities in selected European countries - respect and be open to differences - explain the importance and reasons for including Intercultural education in kindergarten
Students will be provide with competences that will get to the content and objectives of the courses.
