Learning outcomes
|
Within the course, the student will acquire knowledge related to preschool education and preschool upbringing in the context of historical and contemporary concepts. Based on the acquired knowledge, the student will clarify, analyze and evaluate the processes related to the development of a child's personality in the preschool period, i.e. 3-6 years of age. After completing the discipline, the student will be able to explain, analyze and draw conclusions with understanding on the topics: - preschool pedagogy as a science - preschool education in the period from the 16th century to the present - significant personalities who influenced the development of preschool education from the 16th century to the present - contemporary kindergarten (curriculum, teacher personality) - kindergartens with an alternative educational program - kindergarten and family

The student has basic knowledge in the field of pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral exam
The student will acquire knowledge in the given topics. The course is concluded with a credit and an exam. The granting of credit is a prerequisite for the possibility of taking the exam. Requirements for granting credit: - 75% participation in seminars - active participation in classes and continuous completion of assigned tasks Requirements for granting the exam - credit - successful completion of the exam in the given topics If a student fails to attend the seminar to the given extent for serious reasons, he/she will be assigned a seminar paper related to the topics discussed during his/her absence, through which he/she will demonstrate understanding of the curriculum. The student will then take a full-scale exam. (ERASMUS, illness)
