Course content
Education in the Czech Republic and German-speaking countries. The personality of an educator in an international context. Studying at universities in German-speaking countries. Current trends in pupil education and teaching. Pupil with special educational needs. Individual language phenomena are adopted using language material from the fields of pedagogy, psychology and didactics.

Learning outcomes
Acquiring language skills in the field of professional language usable in the course of studying your field in the Czech Republic or abroad. The acquisition of language skills will be supported by analysis of current texts from teaching sciences, expanding professional vocabulary and communication skills. After completing the course, students should be able to: - to adopt an expert language at a level that allows you to understand, analyse and interpret professional texts from the field of pedagogical sciences - to navigate and critically reflect in professional foreign language literature - to apply individual language skills within profiling pedagogical disciplines - to present the basic knowledge and skills of your disciplines in a foreign language
At the end of the course, the student will be able to demonstrate attainment of language level B1 under the Common European Language Reference Framework. It will focus on basic professional communication in the fields of pedagogy, psychology and social sciences.
Prerequisites
Active knowledge of the German language at the minimum B1 level under the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Creating a powerpoint presentation on predefined topics from pedagogy, psychology and social work. 80% presence in teaching.
