Course content
The emergence and development of the Constitutional Court, comparison with the role of the Constitutional Court with constitutional courts in Germany, Austria and the USA, the structure and operation of the Constitutional Court, the role of the Constitutional Court in the constitutional and political system in the Czech Republic

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on the transmition to be experienced in the judge institutions. After completing the course, students should be able to: ? define the role of the Constitutional Court and its historical development ? clarify the competences of the Constitutional Court ? explain the importance of the constitutional judiciary ? analyze and define the relationship of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic to other types of courts
Theoretical knowledge and practical ability of aplication legal rules in fixed law branch.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basic legal institutes of fixed branch.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

Within the contact teaching student visits the Constitutional Court in Brno. Based on the interpretation of a previously studied educational literature and legal sources within self then treated with a given topic in the form of essay and fill the worksheet. The tasks are a necessary condition for granting credit.
