<LI> The essence and meaning of the bachelor's thesis. <LI> The supervisor of the bachelor's thesis. <LI> The schedule for the preparation of the bachelor's thesis. <LI> The goal of the bachelor's thesis. <LI> Searching for professional literature and sources and working with them. <LI> Creating a professional text. <LI> Citing sources according to the valid citation standard. <LI> The structure and division of the bachelor's thesis. <LI> Application of knowledge from the methodology of empirical research when writing the bachelor's thesis and carrying out preliminary research. <LI> Ethical principles of scientific work. <LI> Formal editing of the bachelor's thesis in accordance with the standard for editing documents in word processors and with the valid internal regulations of Palacký University Olomouc and the Faculty of Education.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to guide the student to the correct writing and gradual completion of the bachelor's thesis, the writing of which is one of the prerequisites for the successful completion of the bachelor's study within the Social Pedagogy study program at the Palacky University Olomouc, Faculty of Education.
After completing it, the student should (be able to): <LI> have a clear concept of the bachelor's thesis, which he will further develop and deepen; <LI> search for relevant professional literature and sources necessary for the preparation of the bachelor's thesis, be able to work with professional sources in accordance with the citation standard; <LI> have a clear framework for the content of the theoretical part and write adequate theoretical foundations (min. 15 pages) reflecting the objectives of the work and the chosen methodology; <LI> prepare and implement at least preliminary research for the bachelor's thesis, verify the choice of research tool and the overall setting of the bachelor's thesis methodology; <LI> work towards completing the bachelor's thesis.

Prerequisites
|
The prerequisite for enrolling in the course is the completion of the KPG/SPP@ Propaedeutic Seminar for the Bachelor's Thesis. The course directs the student to develop an already created Bachelor's Thesis project, at least on a theoretical level. Close cooperation and regular consultations with the thesis supervisor are expected.

Assessment methods and criteria

Seminar Work
A) Semester work - Concept and content of the bachelor's thesis and its theoretical part. Following the Bachelor's thesis project, created as part of the Propaedeutic seminar for the bachelor's thesis in the 3rd semester of study, the student clarifies the concept of his bachelor's thesis after a year of work on the topic and consultations with the head of the bachelor's thesis. Based on the set goals and research questions for the planned research, he creates a content framework for the theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis and elaborates on the set chapters (min. 15 pages). The work for the award of credit will contain the following parts: a) Clarified bachelor's thesis project as a basis for creating the theoretical part 1. Title of the bachelor's thesis. The title reflects the defined research problem and the main goal of the work. 2. Research goals and questions. The student defines (clarifies) the main research goal, or sub-goals that form the basis for creating research questions. 3. Research set. The student clarifies the selection and size of the research set. 4. Research strategy, research tool, analysis method. Outline of the research methodology for the thesis. Scope of this part of the work: min. 1 A4 page, line spacing 1, font 12. b) Content of the theoretical part of the thesis. c) Processed theoretical part of the thesis (min. 15 pages according to the standards for writing qualification theses). The latest deadline for submitting the precise concept of the thesis, its content and theoretical part: 31. 1. 2025 The semester work will be sent by the student to the teacher's e-mail by the deadline set in the syllabus (not uploaded to Moodle). If applicable, the thesis supervisor will guarantee and confirm by e-mail that the bachelor's thesis project is precise, a clear content of the work has been compiled and min. 15 pages of the theoretical part of the work have been completed and credit can be awarded. B) Active consultation with the supervisor of the thesis.
